Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 July 2026
This policy explains how Evanstaxi Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), trading as Evan's Taxi & Minibus Hire, collects and looks after your personal information when you use our website or contact us. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
The data controller responsible for your personal data is:
Evanstaxi Ltd

Registered in England & Wales
VAT No. 261263032
ICO Registration No. C1974863

2. What information we collect
When you request a quote or booking through our website form, or contact us by phone or email, we may collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your pickup location and destination
- Your requested date and time of travel
- The number of passengers
- Any additional notes you choose to include
We do not ask for or knowingly collect payment card details, or any special-category data, through this website.
3. How we collect it
Our website booking form does not send your details to any server or store them online. When you press "submit", it simply opens your own email app with the details filled in, ready for you to send to us. Your information travels directly from you to our email inbox — the website itself keeps no copy.
We also collect information you give us directly when you call us, email us, or message us on social media.
4. Why we use your information, and our lawful basis
We use your personal data only to:
- Respond to your quote or booking enquiry;
- Arrange and provide the taxi or minibus service you have asked for;
- Contact you about your booking; and
- Keep records required for our business and legal obligations.
Our lawful basis for this is taking steps at your request to enter into a contract (providing the transport you asked for), and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business.
5. Website analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit our site and which pages are popular. This service is privacy-friendly: it does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect information that identifies you personally. It only reports anonymous, aggregated figures.
6. Cookies
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies on this website. Because of this, no cookie-consent banner is required.
7. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing. Your enquiry emails are handled through our email provider (Microsoft/Outlook). We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the safety of our passengers, drivers or the public.
8. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking information only for as long as needed to provide our service and meet our legal and accounting obligations — normally up to 24 months from your last contact with us — after which it is securely deleted. Records needed for tax purposes may be kept longer where the law requires.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- Ask us to delete your personal data;
- Ask us to restrict or object to how we use it;
- Withdraw your consent at any time; and
- Request your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 1. We will respond within one month.
10. How we keep your data safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including limiting who can access our email inbox and business records, and only keeping data for as long as we need it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
12. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can help. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):
